Recorded only from Darjeeling of northern West Bengal. More field surveys will be required to expand its distribution in north-east region and adjacent countries. Type locality: Tindharia, Darjeeling District, West Bengal.

Habitat: 
Nothing precise is known about its habitat except the information that it is found in Himalayan foothills of moderate elevation.
Natural History: 
No natural history is known from its description time. Likely to be nocturnal and hides like other Kukri Snakes.
Diet: 
Likely to be egg yolk consumer.
Threats: 
As this species is known from type locality region with handful of specimens its conservation efforts should be made by knowing the correct distribution range and habitat type. At present habitat destruction and road kill mortality should be direct threat to it.
