Found in rather narrow range of Himalayan hill forests of Sikkim and northern West Bengal. Also found in Nepal. Type locality: Nagarkot, Kabhre Distr., Bagmati Zone, central Nepal.

Habitat: 
Found from moderate to high elevation (850-2600 m) of hill forests of Himalayas. Found in dense forest, open forests and in artificial plantations. Knowledge of micro habitat is greatly unknown.
Natural History: 
Nothing specific is known about this species but natural history is likely to be more or less similar with other Kukri Snakes. More study is needed to know many such aspects of this species.
Diet: 
Likely to feed on egg yolk of soft shelled reptilian eggs.
Threats: 
As this species is found in narrow range of central Himalayan forests, road kill and habitat destruction will surely affect its population in coming future.
